Download and open Witness
The download starts after payment. Witness fetches the speech model to your Mac once, and after that you dictate offline.

Enter your email on day three
For three days Witness asks for nothing. Then it asks for your email address. Enter the one you paid with and your license is active.

Straight answers before you buy
How do I cancel?+
Under “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page, without signing in. Enter the email address you paid with and you get a confirmation by email at once. You can also use “Manage subscription” in Witness settings.
What happens on day 15?+
If you have not cancelled, Stripe charges €49 for the first year and Witness keeps working. You do nothing. If you cancelled, access ends after the 14 days and nothing more is charged.
Does Witness work offline?+
Yes. Recognition and text cleanup run on your Mac. Only the license key is renewed in the background about once a month. For that, your email address and a device identifier go to our activation service, nothing else.
What happens to my dictation?+
Nothing. Audio and text stay on your Mac. The complete list of what Witness transmits at all is in the privacy policy.
